Jackson-Carter engagement
Hayley Anne Carter, daughter of Doug and Marsha Carter, of McDonough, Ga., is engaged to marry Samuel Todd Jackson, son of Todd and Corky Jackson, of Greenback, at 5:30 p.m. June 9 at the Clayton Center for the Arts. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Harold and Bea Carter, of McDonough, Ga., and Amos and Virginia Dollar, of McDonough, Ga.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of Naomi “Cookie” Carey, of Maryville, the late Kenny Carey, and Curtis and Barbra Jackson, of Lenoir City.
The bride-to-be is a 2007 graduate of Union Grove High School, McDonough, Ga., and a 2011 graduate of Maryville College with a degree in child development and learning. She is employed at Capital Bank, Maryville.
The bridegroom-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Greenback High School and will be a 2012 graduate of Maryville College with a major in political science and minors in psychology and Appalachian studies. In the fall, he will be attending the University of Tennessee in the college student personnel program and working as an assistant hall director.
