The future bride is the granddaughter of Nancy Acker, of Kalamazoo, Mich., the late George Acker, and Annette and John Smith, of Decatur, Mich. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Juanita Myers, of Townsend, the late Theodore Myers, Jim Rapanos, of Venice, Fla., and the late Shirley Rapanos. The bride-to-be is a 2006 graduate of Portage Northern High School and a 2010 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She is a certified public accountant and works as an auditor at Ernst & Young in Nashville. The bridegroom-to-be is a 2006 graduate of Alcoa High School and a 2010 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He works at Schneider Electric, Smyrna, as an application engineer.
