Tiptons' 50th anniversary Maynard and Susan (McCammon) Tipton, of Vonore, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 14 at Vonore Community Center. The couple were married Dec. 23, 1961, in Madisonville. McCoy Franklin officiated. Their family includes children Billy and wife Lisa Tipton, of Vonore, Kristy and husband Jeff Derrick, of Niota, and the late Karen Tipton. They have four grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Tipton are bus contractors for Monroe County Schools.
