Russell-Kennedy engagement
Elizabeth Brooke Russell, daughter of Douglas and Sharon Russell, of Maryville, is engaged to marry John Robert (Robby) Kennedy, son of Bill and Susan Kennedy, of Chattanooga, at 6 p.m. May 28 at Tyner United Methodist Church, Chattanooga. Invitations have been sent.
The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Burl and Louise Whaley and the late Ralph and Belle Russell.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late David and Mildred Kennedy and the late Herbert and Jackie Massey.
The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Maryville High School. She is a full-time student at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, majoring in early childhood education.
The bridegroom-to-be is a senior at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, majoring in math with a minor in engineering.

Kennedy-Russell
Elizabeth Brooke Russell, of Maryville, daughter of Douglas and Sharon Russell, of Maryville, was united in marriage with John Robert Kennedy, of Chattanooga, son of Bill and Susan Kennedy, of Chattanooga, at 6 p.m. May 28 at Tyner United Methodist Church, Chattanooga. Dr. Robert Haskins officiated.
Kate Humphrey, of Knoxville, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Crystal Emery, of Soddy Daisy, Chelsey Weaver, of Louisville, Emily Feist, of Chattanooga, and Taylor McCorkle, of Maryville.
Faith Russell, of Maryville, was flower girl. Robby Kennedy Jr., of Chattanooga, was ring bearer. Ashley Maples, of Maryville, kept the bride’s book.
Mike Turner, of Chattanooga, was best man. Groomsmen were Dave Kennedy, of Chattanooga, brother of the bridegroom, Will Russell, of Maryville, brother of the bride, and Mikel Southerland, of Chattanooga.
A reception hosted by the parents of the bride was held at the Marriott at the Convention Center.
After a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, Orlando, Fla., the couple are living in Chattanooga.
