Gentrys' 50th
Chester Virgil and Jeanith Faye (Blair) Gentry, of Maryville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 1 to 5 p.m. today at 339 South Hall Road, Alcoa, in the lower level of the United Steel Workers Local #309 Union Hall. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
The couple were married March 27, 1961, in a small family ceremony at Chilhowee Baptist Church, Maryville. The late Rev. Therber “Red” Bowers officiated.
Their family includes children Jeanith Darline Smith, of Maryville, and Nathan and wife Amy Gentry, of Greenback. Their grandchildren include Desmond Smith, Blake and Dalton Gentry and step-grandchildren Brooke and Kevin Ogle. The have one great-granddaughter, Darcie Fallon Smith.
Mr. Gentry is retired from ALCOA after 33 years of service. Mrs. Gentry has been an Avon representative for 15 years.
Both are active members of the Betrayed Retirees Club.
