Ellis-McNelly engagement
Cari D. Ellis, daughter of David “Loy” and Kimberly Ellis, of Andersonville, and Traci Curtis, of Athens, is engaged to marry Seth C. McNelly, son of Dr. Don and Carmen McNelly, of Maryville, at 4 p.m. Sept. 25 at the McNelly Family Vineyard, Maryville. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a reception in the vineyard immediately following the ceremony.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Charles David and Lynda Ellis, of Alcoa, JimBob and Janie Curtis, of Ocklawaha, Fla., and Tommie Thornburg, of Maryville.
The bride-to-be served in the United States Air Force.
The bridegroom-to-be served in the United States Army.

McNelly-Ellis marriage
Cari Danyell Ellis, of Alcoa, daughter of Traci Curtis, of Athens, and David Loy and Kim Ellis, of Andersonville, was united in marriage with Seth Clarke McNelly, of Maryville, son of Dr. Don and Carmen McNelly, of Maryville, at 4 p.m. Sept. 25 at the McNelly Family Vineyard, Maryville. The Rev. R. M. Everett officiated, and Dr. Don McNelly performed a Celtic handfasting ceremony.
Cristy DeBaby Blanding, of Maryville, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Christie Marsh, of Alcoa, Laura Overholt, of Maryville, Jennifer Scruggs McMurray, of Nashville, Shannon Fish, of Maryville, Megan Bender, of Alcoa, and Staci Fish-Higgins, of Hixson.

Kendall and Karsyn Ellis were flower girls. Sawyer McNelly was ring bearer. Sara Curtis, Monica Green, Audrey Needham, and Lauren Chambers kept the bride’s book.
Scott McNelly, of Maryville, was best man. Groomsmen were Brad Pratt, of Alcoa, Ben Vananda, of Townsend, Trevor McMurray, of Alcoa, Casey Jones, of Maryville, Paul Davis, of Nashville, and Jeff Lee, of Maryville.
An outdoor reception hosted by the Ellis family was held at the McNelly Vineyard.
A wedding trip was taken to St. Lucia, West Indies, the Caribbean.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Maryville High School and a 2008 graduate of Regis University, Denver. She is a health physicist at Y-12 National Security Complex, Oak Ridge.
The bridegroom is a 1993 graduate of Maryville High School. He is a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the 134th Air Refueling Wing, Air National Guard, at McGhee Tyson, where he is a civil engineer and emergency manager. He is a real estate agent with The House Store, Knoxville.
