Merritt-Kimsey engagement Tara Ashley Merritt, daughter of Terry and Sheila Merritt, of Maryville, is engaged to marry Katlin James Kimsey, son of Tim and Tracy Kimsey, of Louisville, at 7 p.m. July 11 at Sampson's Hollow, Walland. Invitations have been sent. The future bride is the granddaughter of Anna Ruth Bolton, of Maryville, the late John Winster Bolton, and the late Roy and Johnnie Merritt. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Wanda Smith, of Maryville, the late Odell Smith, Joe D. and Elizabeth Kimsey, of Rockford, and the late Mary Kathryn Carter. The bride-to-be is a May 2010 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a master's degree in elementary education. The bridegroom-to-be will graduate in December 2010 from Carson-Newman College with a degree in physical education and leisure sciences. He is a youth director at Blue Springs Baptist Church, Rutledge.
