Connell-Garner engagement
Whitney Swan Connell, daughter of Jack Lombard Connell and Jill Patterson Connell, of Memphis, is engaged to marry David Andrew Garner, son of David Taylor Garner and Cheryl Anne Garner, of Maryville, at 6:30 p.m. June 5 at the couple’s new home, 2912 Smallwood Drive, Knoxville. Invitations have been sent.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Arthur Patterson, of Waverly, Pa., Shirley Patterson, of Waverly, Pa., the late Carol Patterson, Carleton A. Connell, Jr., of Clarks Summit, Pa., and the late Margery Connell.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of Dorothy Garner, of Maryville, the late Eugene Garner, Della Glenn, of Maryville, the late Albert Glenn and the late Frances Glenn.
The bride-to-be is a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology.
The bridegroom-to-be received a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and German from the University of Tennessee. He is employed as a legal assistant at Long, Ragsdale & Waters P.C. Law Firm, Knoxville.
