    Andrew Watson Ludlow took the National Cash Register to Europe and introduced it in France and England. Later as President of the Money-Weight Scale Company he returned to Europe and introduced the Computing Scale in these countries and Germany. This scale is still used in all butchers and grocers. He discovered it was necessary to wear a top hat and morning coat in order to be received by prospective customers.
