  1. 1.  Josias Gamble McTeer was born 1 Jul 1860, , Blount County, Tennessee; died 9 May 1937; was buried , Blount County, Tennessee.

    Notes:

    Never married.

    On 1 May 1937 Josias G. McTeer of Blount County was judged incompetent to
    manage his own financial affairs and A. E. McCulloch (his nephew) was appointed
    guardian of his estate, consisting of 104 acres in the 13th Civil District,
    Blount County, valued at $5000 and $1500 in personal property. Very shortly
    after this guardianship was established "Uncle Joe" died unmarried and
    intestate; A. E. McCulloch and Julian A. McTeer were appointed Administrators
    of the estate. The only real property inventoried besides the 104 acres from
    his mother was a two acre plot at the ford where the Maryville-Sevierville Road
    crossed Little Ellejoy Creek, which land had been a part of the dower of Hettie
    (McTeer) McCulloch.

    Both these plots were sold in 1938 and the procedes distributed to nieces and
    nephews in the following shares; one-fifth each to Dr. W. A. B. Trotter of
    Knoxville and Wilson McTeer of Detroit, Michigan; one-tenth each to Will A.
    McTeer and Julian A. McTeer of Rockford, Blount County; one-twentieth each to
    Mamie Gamble Toole and Sarah Gamble of Blount County, Lutie Gamble Dupes of
    Bakersfield, California, and Mallie Gamble Orr of Detroit, Michigan;
    one-twentyfifth each to A. E. McCulloch of Maryville, Blount County, Annie
    McCulloch and Cora (McCulloch) Caldwell of Riverdale, Maryland, and Stella
    (McCulloch) Mitchell of College Station, Texas; finally one-half of
    one-twentyfifth each to Dorothy McCulloch and J. Max McCulloch of Maryville,
    Blount County, heirs of John A. McCulloch who died while the estate was in
    probate.

    Buried in Eusebia Cemetery.
