  1. 1.  Mary "Polly" Boyd was born 11 Jun 1763, , Pennsylvania.

    Notes:

Polly Boyd's receipt for payment from the estate of her brother, William Boyd,
was signed "by her attorney James Boyd", probably indicating that Poly was then
a widow and/or that she had left Blount Co., Tenn.

On 1 May 1813 James Skein of Knox Co., Kentucky, sold to John Hafly of Sevier
Co., Tenn., for $600, 145 acres 4 rods 24 poles "held by right of occupation"
on Nine Mile Creek, bounded by Charles Kirkpatrick's homestead and William
Boyd's corner. This deed was acknowledged in December 1813 by the witnesses
Edward George and William Henry. There are no other Skeen deeds recorded in
    Blount Co.
