Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Benjamin Bosworth and Mary Church, his second wife. Benjamin Bosworth, (1733-1810), served as major in Col. Nathaniel Martin's regiment of militia, 1775. He contributed to the relief of Boston and paid one-half the indemnity demanded when the British fleet threatened to bombard the town. He was born in Bristol, R. I.; where he died.
