    Notes:

    Albert Francis was a soldier in Co. L 1st Vermont Cavalry in the Civil War. He was in the battle of Gettysburg, taken prisoner at Hagerstown, Maryland July 6 1863 and confined on Belle Island, where so many suffered untold hardships, and almost starvation. Here he was stricken with dysentery and died in Richmond Virginia in 1863 "a victim of southern inhumanity".

    Albert Francis Sawyer was Alfred Fleming Sawyer's brother and Anna O Sawyer's cousin.

    Notes:

    Alfred Fleming enlisted in the Civil War in June 1862 in Co. F 9th Vermont Regiment Infantry. He was stationed in Winchester Virginia where he was attacked with typhoid fever and died with no loved one near, after a few days
    struggle with the disease.

    Alfred Fleming was Albert Francis Sawyer's brother and Anna O Sawyer's cousin.
