Religion: Baptist.
Ausberry Stinnett was returning home after taking corn to the mill to be ground when he was stopped by Rebel soldiers. When he tried to get away, they shot and wounded him. He hid from them among the rocks at the swimming hole on Dunn's Creek where his family found him. He died a short time later.
Tombstone has no inscription.
