Shields is a small station on the Ohio & Mississippi Railroad,four miles above Ewing, and at a place where a splendid countybridge spans White River, thus making it easily accessible to thefarmers living in the southern part of Hamilton, Township. The town was laid out by L. L. and William H. Shields April 29,1866.
Served in Indiana house in 1889.
