Dorothy worked as office manager/bookeeper at an automotive parts firm in
Knoxville until the birth of their son. Dorothy became an advid community and
civic worker - helping to establish the Sevier County Cultural Center. A
project of the Bicentennial Celebration was co-chairman of this yearlong 1976
celebration. The County received many awards for its varied projects. She was
co-author, with Rowena Emert Schmutzer of the "Sevier County Saga", a breif
history of the county, one of the moneymaking efforts to finance our
celebration.
