  1. 1.  Matilda Rodella "Tilda" Parton was born 18 Jan 1880, Tennessee; died 4 Sep 1947, Tecumseh, Shawnee, Oklahoma; was buried Brown Cemetery, Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma.

    Notes:

    Came to the Shawnee community in 1916, and had lived in the Shawnee-Tecumseh
    area since. The family moved from Shawnee route 3 to Tecumseh in 1945. Mrs.
    McMahan was a member of the Methodist Church.

    She had 37 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren at her death. Bearers were
    her grandsons, Raymond McLaughlin, Harold McLaughlin, Ralph McLaughlin, Johnnie
    McMahan, Roy Austin McMahan and J. B. Stamper.

    Buried in Brown Cemetery, west of Tecumseh.
