    Family tradition indicates Jan invented Oleo margarine but failed to take out patent. Oleo margarine was invented in Paris for the navy in Jul 15: 1869, which means he would had to have been 14. However, on page 798 of Chemical technology and analysis of oils, fats and waxes v. 1, 1913 by J. (Julius) Lewkowitsch is listed a patent by J. Oudsteyn.
