    Notes:

    Peter Harwood was a good citizen and substantial farmer of Concord. He removed
    with his wife to Littleton, Massachusetts, in 1737, and settled on land which
    as been in the possession of a line of descendants at least through 1912.
    Herbert J. Harwood's sons occupied the place in 1912.

    Notes:

    Nathaniel Harwood and his wife settled in Lunenburg, Massachusetts thence
    removed to Leicester, Massachusetts about 1748. He served as a soldier in the
    old French and Indian war, and afterwards commanded the Militia Company of his
    town. He was a good citizen and a man of much influence.

    John Harwood settled with his wife in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. He was
    appointed Duputy Sheriff of Worcester County, Massachusetts in 1732. He had
    the title of Colonel. He made his will 20 October 1787.

    Notes:

    Joseph Harwood moved to Littleton Massachusetts with his father about 1737. He
    and his wife were admitted to the Littleton Church, 9 July 1737 on dismissal
    from the Church in Concord. Joseph Harwood was Selectman, Town Clerk and
    Highway Surveyor in Littleton, Massachusetts for many years and was
    Representative to the Legislature in 1761, 1766, and 1769. He had the title of
    Captain.

    Notes:

    Ebenezer Harwood and his wife resided in Littleton, Massachusetts, thence
    removed to NOrth Brookfield, Massachusetts in 1743. He enlisted 9 April 1745
    in Captain Olmstead's company, under Sir William Peperell, in the war against
    the French. The expedition was an effort to drive the French from the Island
    of Cape Brenton, Nova Scotia. Ebenezer Harwood was killed at the first capture
    of the fortress at Louisburg.
