4. | William Clabaugh was born 1782, Frederick County, Maryland (son of John Clabaugh, Jr. and Margaret Ferguson); died 1856/1860, Middle Creek, Sevier County, Tennessee; was buried Middle Creek Methodist Church Cemetery, Sevier County, Tennessee. Notes: From the Records of Commissions of Officers in Tennessee Militia 1796-1815, compiled by Mrs. John Trotwood Moore, we find that William Clabough was appointed as an Ensign, Light Infantry Company of the 11th Regiment for Sevier County, Tennessee on July 8, 1808. Later, in his early thirties, as he claimed in 1852 he served in the Creek Indian War in Alexander Hill's Company, Colonel William Carrol's Regiment, Tennessee Drafted Militia. He was drafted in McMinnville, Tennessee, in October 1813 for six months duty. He was discharged at Nashville, Tennessee in June 1814. He applied for a Bounty Land Warrant on two different dates: March 30, 1852, and September 6, 1855 with the United States Government on his war of 1812 military services. It was rejected because of insufficient information. William married Lavina King 1815, Sevierville, Sevier County, Tennessee. Notes: In the 1850 Sevier County, Tennessee Census, there is an Elizabeth King age seventy one living with her son Wyly King age forty nine, and wife Margaret Adair King age forty nine. From the information gathered so far, Elizabeth would have been born about 1779, married about 1795 or early 1796, at age sixteen or seventeen. Her first child, daughter Lavina King was born about 1796, her second child son, Wyley King was born in February of 1798. Elizabeth would have been age thirty nine when her last child, son Andrew Jackson King was born. Elizabeth was about age seventy three when she died in Sevier County, Tennessee.

Notes: Family tradition says Henry Bohannon served in the American Revolution from the state of Virginia. A record in Virginia State Library's "List of Revolutionary Soldiers of Virginia" showed Henry Bohannon served as a private in the 1st Virginia Regiment of the Continental Line, Light Dragoon, commanded by Captain Robert Boling for a three year enlistment, 6 July 1778 to Jun 1781. The regiment was raised from the area south of James River for the relief of General Nathaniel Greene in the South during the Revolutionary War.
