    Notes:

Isaac Thomas fought in the Revolutionary War as an aid to John Sevier.

After the War, around 1780, Isaac settled on a farm at the present site of the City of Sevierville, Tennessee. He received a land grant from the Government comprised of much of the land on which Sevierville was built. He had also obtained additional land from the Indians and some restless pioneers. He operated a mill, a tavern, perhaps the first, and farmed. By 1795, Sevierville was established as the County Seat. The first County Court was held in Thomas' home.
