Family traditions say William "proved to be an execellent husband and kind
father to his step-children."

This family, both Thomases and Hamiltons, went to Caldwell County, Kentucky
from Pendleton County, South Carolina in 1802.

William married Elizabeth Hubbard Abt 1796, , Pendleton, South Carolina. Elizabeth was born Abt 1765; died Dec 1840, , Adams, Illinois; was buried , Adams, Illinois. [Group Sheet]

Notes:

Family traditions say Elizabeth Hubbard Thomas, after the death of Evan Thomas,
"labored in the field and garden to keep her children together and to provide
for them."

After the death of her third husband she moved to Green County, Illinois and
continued to live with her children there.
