Mary Lou Peltier

Notes:

Mary Lou (Peltier) McElroy went to work when she was a child, after attending
school through the sixth grade. She worked in a sewing machine factory helping
earn money to feed the family. When she was a young teenager she met her
husband, Theodore "Ted" McElroy and in the words of Ricky Nelson's song it was
"Hello, Mary Lou, Goodbye heart". Mary Lou wrote in her diary she didn't
remember who proposed to whom and the first thing she knew they were married
she was 15 years old and Ted was 20, almost 21. They stayed together until his
death in l969.

1. Theordore Russell McElroy was born 19 Feb 1924, , Ohio; died 16 May 1982, Sarasota, Florida.
2. Mary Delores "Shan" McElroy was born 3 Sep 1925.
3. Alfred Lloyd McElroy was born 15 Feb 1927.
4. Kathryn Loretta "Babe" McElroy was born 16 May 1928.
5. Wesley Duran McElroy was born 6 Aug 1932.
6. Velma Elenore "Vel" McElroy
7. Joyce Carroll McElroy was born 15 Sep 1941, Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio.

Notes:

James Matthew Peltier was a "Marble Rubber" which means he engraved tombstones.
The family evidently experienced very hard times when they were severely
lacking in food and money.
