Delmar Lee Spence, age 75 of Sevierville, passed away Tuesday, July 01, 2014. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Delmar was a member of the Free Masons. He built and operated a Professional Go-Kart track for 25 years. Delmar worked for 32 years in Law Enforcement and served as Constable for the State of Tennessee for 11 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Eulalla Spence; brothers, Carl Spence, Blaine Spence, Kenneth Spence, Rex Spence; sisters, Gereline Spence, Janice Hall, Faye Boswell; and son-in-law, Troy Shultz.
Survivors:
Wife of 54 years, Dolores Spence; daughters, Debbie Spence Shultz, Doris Williamson and husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Amanda Shultz Johnson and husband, Ronald, Daniel and Michael Williamson; great-grandchildren, Daylen and Bella Johnson; siblings, Ralph Spence and wife, Blanche, Larry Spence and wife, Jewel, Helen Sowers and husband, Bill, Harold Spence and wife, Sue; Garry Spence, and Pauline August; sisters-in-law, Dannie Spence and Reba Spence; several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family members and friends.
Funeral service 7 PM Thursday in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Don Parton officiating. Interment 10 AM Friday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
