FLYNN, JOHNNIE REX - age 62, of Sevierville, died Saturday, January 2, 1999, at Fort Sanders-Sevier Medical Center. He was a member and trustee of Millican Grove Baptist Church. He was employed by the State of Tennessee for 35 years until his retirement in 1996. Survivors: wife, Barbara Beason Flynn; children, Keith and Delores Beason of Florida, Joe and Linda Beason of Sevierville; grandchildren, Amanda and Heather Beason, Beth and Barry Marton, Micheal and Jeannie Snodgrass; great-grandchildren; Travis, Matthew, Tiffany and Keith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Imogene and Dott Ownby, Rev. David and Jane Beason, Floyd Beason, Jr.; nieces and nephews, John David and Kim Beason, Harold and Glenda Flynn, Wanda Ruth and Bob Bradley, Michael Ownby, Richie and Gina Flynn; special friends, Ronald and Brenda Jane Franklin, Dorothy Arwood and family; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Rev. David Wilson, Rev. Kyle Rule, Rev. Bethel Crisp, Rev. W.A. Galyon, and Rev. Gary Kent officiating. Entombment to follow in the chapel mausoleum of Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Poole, Mariana Martinico, Terry Bradshaw, Carter Moulden, David Babb, Wayne Spence, Raymond Kerr, Ozell Watson, John David Beason, Ronald Franklin, Steve Lane, Jim Arwood, T.J. Cantwell, Clinton Valentine. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Charles Roach, Dr. Lee Roy Dyer, Murphy Reagan, L. J. Watts, Judson Caughron III, Tennessee Department of Transportation employees, Tennessee Highway Patrol employees, deacons of Millican Grove Baptist Church, the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains. Memorials may be made to Kerbela Temple Shriners Children's Hospital, c/o Dr. Charles Roach, 830 Middle Creek Rd., Sevierville, TN 37862 or the Boys and Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains, c/o Charles Poole, 135 Commerce St., Sevierville, TN 37862. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
