Rogers, Fred Grove, age 83, of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at UT Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Seymour and a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II. Retired employee of ALCOA and a member of the 25-year club. Preceded in death by wife of 39 years, Katherine Louise Rogers; parents, William Victor and Ada Grove Rogers; and brother, Paul Rogers.
Survivors
Daughters, Kim Haggard and husband, Greg of Seymour, Jan Bolton and fiancé, Rod Weaver of Knoxville, Eleanor Houser and husband, Louis of Powell, June Romines of Seymour; grandchildren, Logan and Kameron Haggard, Jeff and Jay Houser, Lori Lynn Epperson, Lee Ann Litton; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Victor Boyd Rogers and wife, Irene of Seymour; sisters, Ruth Brewer of Friendsville, Mary Pendley and husband, Glen of Columbus, Georgia; special friends, Howard Baldwin, Doris Berrier, Helen Payne, David Self, Dawn and Gary Wilson.
Service
Family and friends will meet at 11:00 AM Friday at Highland South Cemetery, for graveside service with Dr. Bruce Yates officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
