OGLE, GARY WENDELL - age 57, of Powell passed away Sunday February 8, 2009 in Knoxville. Gary was born November 7, 1951 in Oak Ridge to the late Theodore and Edith Houk Ogle. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired Major from the United States Army. Gray was employed as a Lieutenant with the Oak Ridge Police Department and was a member of the Code 3 Rescue, Radar Rescue, F.B.I. National Academy Association, and the F.O.P., and the Anderson County Dart Team. He enjoyed watching movies especially westerns, shooting, fishing, and canoeing. He is survived by three children, Amy Bare and her husband Sean of Knoxville, Theo Ogle of Oak Ridge, and Christina Ogle of Oak Ridge; one sister, Barbara Weeks of Powell; significant other, Rhonda Bender of Knoxville; granddaughter, Allison Bare; and Sue Ogle, mother of Theo and Christina. Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 10, 2009 7:00 pm in the chapel of Martin oak Ridge Funeral Home with Oak Ridge Police Chaplin Harold Scott officiating. Graveside service will be held Wednesday February 11, 2:00 pm at The Shiloh Cemetery in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The family will receive friends Tuesday February 10, 2009 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
