Mary “Maude” McCarter, age 89 of Gatlinburg, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012. She was born January 26, 1923 in the Sugarlands. She and her husband Ray owned the Midtown Restaurant and Lounge and McCarter Trucking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray McCarter; parents, Jess and Beedie Cotter Cole; brother, Gaston Cole; sister, Myrtle Reagan
Survivors:
Sons: Doug McCarter and Scott McCarter
Grandchildren: Kimberly Litton, Stephanie “Tater” McCarter, and Blake McCarter
Five great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren
Brother: Charles Cole
Sisters and brothers-in-law: Jody and Bill Allen, Lib and Henry Glandon, and Judy Myers
Brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Bill and Polly McCarter
Sister-in-law: Louise Brooke
A multitude of nieces and nephews
