Warren Jennings (W.J.) McMahan, age 78, of Sevierville, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Pigeon Forge and served as a Trustee and Sunday School Superintendent for the church. He was a Navy Veteran of W.W.II, and was the director of Pigeon Forge Baptist Cemetery for several years. He was retired from Oak Ridge National Lab after 38 years and 8 months of service. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie McMahan, parents, Filmore and Berthina McMahan, and sisters, Vera Carter, and Polly LaFollette.

Funeral service 4 PM Saturday, May 11, 2002 at First Baptist Church in Pigeon Forge with the Rev. W.W. Cope, Rev. Jeff Brooks, and Rev. Wayne Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Pigeon Forge Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville, and 3-4 PM Saturday, at Pigeon Forge Baptist Church.
