Lela Artie McFalls, 90, of Sevierville, went home to be with her loved ones that were waiting for her in heaven. She began her journey at her residence surrounded by members of her loving family.
Mrs. McFalls was a lifetime member of the Huskeys Grove United Methodist Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 202 in Gatlinburg.
Lela was preceded in death by her husband, Edward McFalls; sons, Ted and Glenn McFalls; daughter, Peggy Sue McFalls; brother, George Lamon; sisters, Grace Ownby, Bertha and Eunice Lamon.
She is survived by her children, Dorothy Cole and husband Gerald, David L. McFalls, Walter McFalls and wife Fay, Linda Whaley and husband Glen, Virginia Slover and husband Larry, Emma L. McFalls, Barbara Whetsell and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Danny McFalls, Kathy Harrell, Lisa Kinsler, Gina Davis, Edward Jackson, Scott and Doug McFalls, Diana DeBrohun, Marcus and Michael Whaley, Kelli Seavy, Nicholas Slover, Shannon Hipps, Jon Engkaninan, Alicia Fortner, Steve Murphy, Tina Miehlke, Jennifer Murphy; 33 great grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Whaley, Jean Henry, Velma McCarter and husband Kelly, Jetty Christian.
Service will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at Rawlings Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lewis Miller officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 22 at Huskey Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 21 at Rawlings Funeral Home.
Lela’s grandsons are honored to act as pallbearers for her final journey.
