He was a US Army Veteran, and Coordinator of Court Operations for the Montgomery County Juvenile Court. Richard was a member of American Legion Post # 0165. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther & Ruby Minge and a sister, Theresa Shartle. He is survived by his wife, Mona Minge; daughters and son, Tonya Minge, Shannon Combs, April Patton, Ann Hart, Terry Furlow, Barb Johnson and Sherry Lusardi; 18 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Hill; and a brother, Robert Minge. The family would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Kettering Hospital for their help and kindness. The family will receive friends at David Cemetery Community Mausoleum Chapel, 4600 Mad River Rd. Kettering, OH, Wednesday, October 5, 2016, from 11 am until time of service at 1pm.
