He was born Aug. 6, 1963, at Dermott, a son of Horace Lampkin of McGehee and the late Velma Jean Jones Lampkin. He was a construction superintendent for Room Managers of America. Other survivors include his wife, Frances Burch Lampkin; one son, Alan Lampkin of Arkansas City; three daughters, Dawn Lampkin of Arkansas City, Terri Lampkin of Houston, Shey Lampkin of Mobile, Ala.; one brother, Steve Lampkin of Crossett; and two stepsisters, Sonda Oliver of Little Rock and Tonya Lampkin of McGehee.
