HAYES , TUCKEY JOHN "TYLER", III 69, life-long Knoxville resident, passed away peacefully at NHC Ft. Sanders, on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Tyler was born and raised in Knoxville, the first child of Dr. T.J.T. Hayes , Jr. and Faye Sterchi Coulter. He graduated from Bearden High School and Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN. He most recently was President/Owner of Hayes Appraisals. He joins his son, Tuckey Hayes IV, who died at age 36, and his father, Tuckey J. Hayes , Jr., who died in 1992. Tyler leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend, Denise Ownby of Knoxville; son, Winston Ogle Hayes of California; step-daughter, Nancy K. Gore (Ray); grandchildren, Spencer Sumners and Emery Gore; brother, Williston "Bill" Sterchi Hayes (Theresa) of California; sisters, Sandra Hayes Dozier(Tommy Brown) and Jo Hayes White of Knoxville. He also leaves his mother and step-father, Faye and Doug Coulter of Knoxville; step-mother, Betty Hatfield Hayes ; niece, Elizabeth Hayes ; and nephews, Williston Hayes , Lee and Matt Dozier, Mark and Paul Gilbertson, and David White IV; their spouses and children; In-laws, Mary Ann Ownby-Jennings(Harold), Katie Mackey (Tim), Melissa Thompson (John), Jeff Ownby (Debbie), Mike Ownby (Cathy), and many cousins and extended family members. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN. 37919.
