Caroline Shipwash age 72 of Alcoa, passed away, May 12, 2011 at the family home. Active and vital member of Central Baptist Church where she taught in the children’s department for many years. Retired from Levi Strauss Company. She was a graduate from Alcoa High School. Preceded in death by mother and father W.T. and Omega Shipwash. Survived by aunt, Roxie Hannah; brothers and sisters in law, John and Mary Shipwash, Frank and Dorothy Shipwash, Ben and Kathy Shipwash; nieces and nephews, Cherly and Mike Raulston, Kristal and Daniel Livingston, Tom Shipwash, Valerie Shipwash, Amy and husband Matthew Moore,Christopher and Brandi Shipwash; step nephews and wives, Mike and Rhonda Huffstettler , Ricky and Mary Alice Huffstettler, David and Missy Huffstettler; great nieces and nephews, Cameron and Caleb Shipwash, Taylor, Samantha and Dylan Moore, David Shipwash, Elijah Livingston; step great nieces and nephews, Tiffany and Jason Gutridge, Brian and Katie Huffstettler, Scott and Meagan Huffstettler; step great nieces and nephews, Jayla, Dakota and Seth Gutridge. Funeral service 8:00 PM Monday, May 16, 2011 at Central Baptist Church, Rev. Greg Kelly and George Gilbert officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:00 PM Tuesday at Clark’s Grove Cemetery for the interment service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Central Baptist Church Building Fund.
