ROXBORO - Raymond Browning Woodlief , 90, formerly of Maple Heights, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at Person Memorial Hospital. Born in Granville County, Mr. Woodlief was the son of the late Archie and Susie Woodlief and husband of the late Ila Clayton Woodlief . Mr. Woodlief was a retired farmer and truck driver for Gwaltney Oil Company. Mr. Woodlief attended New Life Independent Baptist Church. Mr. Woodlief is survived by one brother, Roy Woodlief , of Durham; and two sisters, Josephine Ellington of Henderson and Beatrice Carter of Petersburg, Va. He was preceded in death by one son, James Randolph Woodlief . A memorial service will be held at a later date.
