Paula Cook Davis, age 45, of Grassy Fork, passed away, Thursday, May 19, 2011. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was a hairdresser at Trenz Salon. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, B. R. and Flora Freeman; aunt and uncle, Pauline and Don Leatherwood. She is survived by her daughter, Preanna Davis of Grassy Fork; parents, Tony and Carolyn Cook of Grassy Fork; grandparents, Wayne and Helen Cook of Hot Springs, NC; aunt and uncle, Shelia and Tommy Davis of Hot Springs, NC; cousins, Vida, Hoover, Carrisa and Lexi Williamson, Karen and Kyla Ellison, Dennis Buchanan, Mike Buchanan and Max Laughter; great aunt, Myrtle Buchanan of Asheville, NC; special family friend, Kenneth Self of Del Rio; and a host of other special family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, May 22, 2011 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tinker Clark and Rev. Fred Gregg officiating. Burial will follow in Blacks Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Manes Funeral Home.
