Earl Stanley Lewis, Jr., age 52, of Newport, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014. He was known as a carpenter by trade and always willing to help others. He always loved to decorate for holidays especially Christmas for everyone to enjoy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Lewis. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Janice Lewis; daughter, Lashea Lewis; father, Earl Lewis, Sr.; two grandchildren; and his two loving poodles, Ebony and Mandy. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Friday, June 20, 2014 in Forest Hill Cemetery. Following the graveside service there will a Celebration of Life service at 7:00 pm Friday, June 20, 2014 at Forest Hill Church, with Rev. Mike Brooks and Rev. Jay Guinn officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Friday at the church prior to the service.
