Betty Anderson Houser, age 89, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018. She was retired owner of Betty’s Beauty Salon. She was a loyal member of Forest Grove Church for 81 years, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was a member of the Ladies Action Team. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved the Lord and enjoyed reading her Bible, birdwatching, working in her flower garden, and visiting with friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother: Frank and Blanche Anderson, sisters: Evelyn Arnold, June Boling, and brother, Robert Anderson. Survivors: Husband of 71 years: Charles Howell Houser. Daughters and sons-in-law: Pat D’Ambrosi of Florida, Rhonda (Scott) McClain of Knoxville, TN. Grandchildren: Shannon (Bill) Heston, Shane (Carrie) Hoffmeister, Lauren (Michael) Jordan, Lance (Krystle) McClain, Jake Needham, Josh Needham. Great Grandchildren: Ryan Tucker, Ben Tucker, Maggie Kaye Hoffmeister, Grace Anne Hoffmeister, McClain Jordan, Maddox Jordan. Several special nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Christina and Mary with UT Hospice, Angie Lafond, Violet Raper, Gail Hickey, Pauline Houser, Denise Wooliver and Pat Burns. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Forest Grove Free Will Baptist Church Children’s Department 7201 Hodges Ferry Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920 or your favorite charity. The family will receive friends 4-6 PM Saturday with a memorial service to follow at 6 PM in Atchley’s Seymour Chapel, Rev. Michael Jordan officiating. Graveside service and inurnment 1 PM Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour 122 Peacock Court, Seymour, TN 378675(577-2807).
