Preceded in death by his wife, Margie Patterson; sister, Jean Patterson Nichols and father Keith Wendell Patterson. Survivors include his sons, Edwin Vandiver, John Terry Patterson, Michael Patterson and Matt Patterson all of Kentucky; 9 grandchildren; mother, Mable Mae Patterson of Maryville; sisters, Donna Kay Walls of South Carolina and Sheila Smithee of Sevierville and several nieces and nephews.
