Cecil Junior Swiney, age 65, of Rutledge, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 21, 2012. Cecil always said he wanted to go on to be with the Lord, so he could be with his daughter, Tammy. Cecil made his home with his sister, Pat Orrick of Rutledge, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Maryville. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Swiney; parents, James and Willie Chambers Swiney; grandparents, William “Pa” and Margaret Swiney, and Robert and Minnie Chambers; and brother, Clifford Swiney. He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Ronnie Orrick of Rutledge, Mildred and Jake Coffman of Maryville, Bernice and Jim McAfee of Maryville, Pam and Brad Jackson of Lenoir City; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lonnie and Lesa Swiney of Rutledge, Doug and Michelle Swiney of Maryville, William and Kaye Swiney of Louisville, Ritchie and daughter, Kayla Swiney of Maryville; a very special sister-in-law, Lesa Swiney; a loving nephew, Teddy Swiney; 3 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews; and a lot of friends. The family would like to thank each and every one for everything that has been said and done, and a special thanks to all of Cecil’s nurses. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, with Rev. Claude A. Bates and Rev. Buddy Hipshire officiating. The graveside will follow at Clark’s Grove Cemetery, with David Jones, Tim Orrick, Lionel McAfee, Gary Coffman, Jeff Swiney, and Danny Myers acting as pallbearers.
