  [S4] Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee), 14 Nov 2011. HENDERSON, GEORGE ROBERT - age 77, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Tennova Residential Hospice. He was retired from the Knoxville Police Department after 25 years of service. Preceded in death by wife, Carolyn Henderson; son, Randy Henderson. Survivors: son, Keith Henderson; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Joel Hood; grandson, Nick Hood; devoted companion, Clara Keith; brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service and interment. Rev. Ron Burris officiating. The family would like to express their appreciation to staff of Tennova Residential Hospice for their loving care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Kidney Foundation , 4450 Walker Blvd. Knoxville, TN 37917.
