LEONARD C. "BOB" PATTERSON, age 84, of Dandridge, TN passed away Thursday evening, August 25, 2011. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp. Bob was a long-time resident of Franklin, OH, where he worked for many years at the Frigidaire Corp. of General Motors. Following retirement, he and his wife Emma Jean returned to Dandridge to be close to their family and friends he cherished so dearly. He was the son of the late Leonard and Daisy Moore Patterson, and adoptive parents that raised him, G. W. "Sug" and Eva Manning. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Emma Jean Strange Patterson; brothers, Mitchell Patterson and Glenn Manning; sisters, Asalee Shipley and Pearl Reneau. He is survived by children that he raised, Eddie Hogsten and Theresa Smith; special cousin, James Manning and special friend, Wilma Reneau; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be Sunday, August 29, 2011, 7:00 p.m. at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Ray Petty officiating. Interment graveside with military honors will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Dandridge Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. 865-397-2711
