Douglas, Katherine Frazier – age 93 of Knoxville passed away Monday, May 30, 2011, at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. Katherine was very devoted to her family and her church. She was the oldest, Charter Member of Riverdale Baptist Church and a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Preceded in death by husband, Winford Douglas; son, Arthur Douglas; parents, Davis and Cordia Dykes Frazier; six brothers; and three sisters. Survived by daughter, Lois King; daughter-in-law, Jane Douglas; grandchildren, Wendy Norris and husband Wes, Jennifer Jones and husband Greg, and Suzanne Maples and husband Kevin; great grandchildren, Morgan Webster, Mikayla Norris, Kathryn Jones, Andrew Jones, Anna Grace Maples, Madison Maples and Sydney Maples; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Riverdale Baptist Church followed by the funeral service which will be held at 7:00 PM with Rev. Mike Vincent officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:15 AM Friday at Bridges Funeral Home and proceed to Asbury Cemetery for a 10:00 AM interment. Arrangements by Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999.
