(September 27, 1927 - April 7, 2011) Norma Jean (Jeannie) Ball, age 51, of Newport, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Eugene and Julia Kate Wilhoit; brother, Ray Eugene Wilhoit; great-niece, Emily Grace Haney. She is survived by her husband, Randy Dale Ball; son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Cindy Ball all of Newport; sisters and brothers, Janice Swatzell and husband Kyle, Phyllis Fann, all of Greeneville, Floyd Wilhoit and wife Sandy and John Wilhoit, all of Newport; also other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, April 10, 2011 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverends Ricky Phillips, Kirk Haney, Eugene Ball and Elmer Littleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Ball Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Manes Funeral Home. Manes Funeral Home in charge.
