Rosa J. Hutson, 87, of LaFollette, died Saturday, March 20, 1999, at Briarcliff Health Care Center.
Mrs. Hutson was the mother of Maurene LaVerne Duck of Oak Ridge.
She and her husband, Browder FaDrew Hutson, owned and operated Hutson's Food Market in LaFollette from 1945 until Mr. Hutson's death in 1965. She continued to operate the business until 1991.
Mrs. Hutson was a member of LaFollette First Baptist Church.
In addition to her daughter, she is survived by her son, Browder FaDrew and his wife, Jean, of Barnesville, Ga.; her sister, Elizabeth Broyles of LaFollette; three sisters-in-law, Leon Chaniott, Nell Chaniott and Sarah Chaniott, all of LaFollette; and her brother-in-law, R.L. Smith of Powell.
Mrs. Hutson is also survived by five grandchildren, Jeffrey Hutson and family and Angela Hutson Farr and family, all of Georgia, Bridgette Duck of Oak Ridge, and Dennis Duck and family and Lisa Duck Eccles and family, all of Jefferson City; 11 great-grandchildren, Beth, Tia and Laura Hutson, Jessica and Drew Farr, Emily, Zack, Zeke and Abby Duck, and Bree and Katrina Eccles; and by several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, March 22, in the chapel of Walters Funeral Home in LaFollette with the Rev. Leonard Dabney officiating. Music will be provided by Gene Roberts of LaFollette First Baptist Church.
Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, at Woodlawn Cemetery, LaFollette, for the graveside service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
