GRAY, CARLIE VIRGIL "C.V.", JR. age 79 of Knoxville, went to be the Lord Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Gray is preceded in death by his parents, Carlie and Ada Gray; sister, Helen Rutledge; niece, Sharon Howerton and two brothers-in-law, James Bright and Bill Rutledge. Survived by his wife of 42 years, Lillie Gray; brothers Jimmy Gray and wife Bettie, Bill Gray and wife Velma, David Gray and wife Joan, Robert Gray and wife Linda; sisters, Virginia Brightt, Mae Rutledge and Loraine Long and husband Elmer; special sister-in-law and caretaker, Jessie Veal. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 8 pm in the Halls Chapel of Mynatt Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Inklebarger and Reverend Terrell Whitaker officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 am Friday at the Halls Chapel and proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for a graveside service at 11 am. Pallbearers will be Larry Campbell, Russell Gillenwater, Doyle Inklebarger, Kenny Edmonds, Noah Collins, Tim Bright, Jeff Graham and Terrell Whitaker.
