U.S. Veteran Cook, Ray H .age 88 of Friendsville passed away, Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the family home. He was of the Baptist faith and attending Oak Hill Baptist Church. He was a former member and deacon of Marble Hill Baptist Church. He was a WWII Army veteran. Preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Juanita R. Cook of whom his was a devoted and loving caregiver for 34 years; parents, Sam and Anna Cook; brother, R.B. Cook. Survived by sons and daughters in law, Raymond and Linda Cook of Greenback, Ronnie and Judy Cook of Calhoun, TN, Gary and Kathy Cook of Friendsville; grandchildren, Scott, Shannon, Dustin, Brandon, Jeremy, Matthew, Cameron, Isaac and Caleb Cook; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Fay Cook of Friendsville, Johnnie Crowder of Greenback; brother and sister in law, Samuel and Lois Cook of Greenback, Ben N. Cook of Florida; sister in law, Alice Cook of Friendsville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 PM Friday, November 14, 2008 at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel, Rev. Kenny Martin and Rev. Alex Smith officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 AM Saturday at Marble Hill Cemetery for the graveside and interment service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the University Of Tennessee Medical Center Hospice Services, 2200 Sutherland Ave. Suite 102, Knoxville, TN 37919. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.www.millerfuneralhome.org
