Faye Dean Black, age 59, of Hartford, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2002 at Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee. She attended Simerly Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, John Sneed; and brother, Steve Lynn Sneed. She is survived by her husband, Ferman Black, of Hartford; mother, Edith Sneed, of Hampton, TN; sons and daughters-in-law: Randall and Kimberly Black, of Hartford; Danny Ray and Cherie Black, of Newport; sons: Kevin, Keith, and Jimmy Dean Black, all of Hartford; daughter, Sharon Ann Helton, of Shelby, North Carolina; brothers: Wayne Sneed, of Elizabethton; Perry Sneed and Johnny Sneed, both of Hampton, TN; sisters: Phyllis Whittemore, Dorothy Casey, and Fern Berry, all of Hampton, TN; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Zion Church with Rev. Randall Freeman and Rev. Junior McKinney officiating with burial in Black’s Family Cemetery in Grassy Fork. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Manes Funeral Home. Manes Funeral Home in charge.
