BALLARD, JETTA FAY ADKINS - age 68, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2001 at Fort Sanders Parkwest Regional Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church Concord, Great Smoky Mountains Emmaus Community, Bible Study Fellowship and past President N.A.C.M. She was retired from White Lily Foods. Preceded in death by husband, Allen Ballard. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn Ballard and Dwight Erwin of Chattanooga, Janet Ballard and William Duffey of Knoxville; grandsons, Matthew Allen Estes and Jason Aaron Estes, both of Chattanooga; granddaughters, Elizabeth Browning Duffey and Rachel Margaret Duffey, both of Knoxville; parents, Albert and Effie Adkins of Knoxville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Kate Adkins of Powell, Boyd and Pat Adkins of Knoxville; special friends, Jack and Mary Keele of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 18, 2001, 7:00 p.m., at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with Rev. David Knight officiating. Interment will be 12:00 p.m. Friday at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, East Region Office, 871 Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, TN 37909 or to The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund Sept. 11, 2001 Attack, P.O. Box 50156 Knoxville, TN 37950. The family will receive friends following the service at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.
