ELKINS, CREED MURREL age 77, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on March 16, 2007. He was a member of New Fellowship Baptist Church and was preceded in death by wife, Gladys Elkins; father and mother, Frank and Lida Elkins, brother, Roland Elkins. Survived by sons and daughters in law, Keith and Gayle Elkins, Dough and Clydene Elkins; daughter and son in law, Tammy and Mark Lakin; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; special cousins Elaine Brown and family. The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Hillcrest Nursing Home and all the special visitors who were so faithful to come visit Creed . Funeral service, 8:00 p.m., Sunday, Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel, Fountain City, Rev. Wayne Lay officiating. Family and friends will meet, 10:45 a.m., Monday at Roseberry Cemetery for interment at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Clyde Lakin officiating.
